The Forrest S. Mosten Initiative
in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies

in support of an
Annual Public Lecture/Guest Lecturer
and Student Internships

University of California, Riverside

The University of California at Riverside has established a fund in honor of its alumnus and world-renowned mediator and author, Forrest S. Mosten (Phi Beta Kappa, 1969).  The fund will support two initiatives:  1) an Annual Lecture in Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies; the annual speaker will also serve as a Guest Lecturer in classes; and 2) annual internships for one or more UCR students who wish to pursue this area of study.

A multi-disciplinary field of research, teaching, and practice, Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies is integral to a wide variety of disciplines and departments and students from all fields are eligible to apply for internships.  Agencies utilizing mediation are invited to contact Dr. June O’Connor (see below) to explore cooperative interaction.

Mr. Mosten has established this fund as a challenge grant, inviting campus and community alike to expand and enrich this fund with additional funding.  Tax-deductible contributions to the Mosten Fund can be made payable to the Forrest S. Mosten Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies Fund or to the UCRiverside Foundation (noting the “Forrest S. Mosten Conflict Resolution and Peace Studies Fund” on the memo line).  Please contact:
